My hard drive is really messed. So I need to reformat it (hopefully that works).

But after several moves, I can find the windows xp cd activation code. I can run windows only in safe mode. Is there anyway to find it in the registry?

I use a Windows XP computer. I have Realplayer, which allows me to cut off the few seconds from the beginning but it does not allow me to save it.

My question is obviously on how to make my computer faster by using a program but before you answer, I think its appropriate for you to know what kind of computer this is first before answering. It is a Windows XP, its also an HP, and has 1.49 GB of RAM. The age of this computer I would say is 4 or 3 years. I hope you can help me with positive answers ^^ Thank you.

I am running Windows XP Home on HP Pavilion desktop. Background program is severely hindering performance. I run Norton IS 2008 and all files up to date. Just want to know how to got about identifying this mystery program so I can turn it off.
