How do I find my windows xp activation code in safe mode?
My hard drive is really messed. So I need to reformat it (hopefully that works).
But after several moves, I can find the windows xp cd activation code. I can run windows only in safe mode. Is there anyway to find it in the registry?
I can barely start up my PC?
I can’t start my PC normally! It always restarts! I turned it on, it came to the screen with the Windows logo and the loading thing, it restarted, and then it came up to that screen where you have 5 options (Start up : With Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, Safe Mode with Command Prompt, Last Good Known Configuration (Your last recent settings that worked) and Normally). I chose Safe Mode, and it led me to a blue screen with “A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent further damage…” and other text written on it, and at the end it says: STOP:0X0000007B(0XF78A2524,0XC0000034,0X00000000). The PC starts eventually, but it has to restart like, 5-6 times or so. So, what I’m saying here is… What the *BLEEP* should I do?!

Hi, This error usually relates to issues when the user has removed one or more of the existing device drivers or there is virus related issue on your computer. I would advice you to go through this article from Microsoft: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324103 This should help. Good Luck. Wireless..:)

Hey Jack! Back again I see! OK, here’s ComboFix, but be VERY careful with it. Here’s a link and instructions, I suggest you follow them to the numbers. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix I’m curious why all of those other programs didn’t work for you. Did you name them correctly? Malwarebytes and SAS usually kill adware in about 10 minutes. I know you used AdAware also. I’m just confused. EDIT: SUPERAntiSpyware is NOT a malicious program as mentioned above. Try this EXACTLY: Restart the computer, tap the F8 key while it is booting up, then choose “Safe mode with networking”. Download Malwarebytes from here: http://malwarebytes.org/ When it asks you where you would like to save it, change the “mbam_setup.exe” file to xxxxx.exe. Then install it, update it, and run a full scan. EDIT AGAIN: The reason Spybot says that is because your malware is preventing it from installing. Hence the renaming part.
