What is the best computer program to write down math problems?

I’m involved in both astrophysics, and calculus courses, and I’m curious as to what computer program I can use to format/type my homework problems out more neatly, and also, if I can use it to double-check my work, that would be great.

Please list the most popular, and the best programs available for PC, or Linux/Unix.

How long should i seed a torrent?

I am downloading a Linux Distro. How long should i seed it for? Gnome, I believe. I haven’t decided between Gnome or KDE yet, Though Linux Mint 6

Answer:
At least as long as you arent done downloading yourself! Remember, the more you upload, the faster you can download… even after you finish your download, do keep seeding for atleast 50 % the size of what you downloaded if its small or 10 % if its large… else trackers will note you as inefficient and doesnt host you good speed… Read this post for more…. http://pcgyaan.wordpress.com/2009/06/27/enter-the-torrents/

For college students Which do you prefer, windows XP or windows Vista?

or is everyone switching to windows Vista

Answer:
I actually did almost all of my college work with Slackware Linux. If I needed Windows, I booted XP within a virtual machine. Of course… I left college before Vista was released. Now that I’m going back, I set up a laptop for school that runs Windows 7. If I actually had a valid license for Vista Business or Ultimate, I would use Vista. My preference for personal operating systems is based more on certain hardware support and functionality than any aesthetic or ease of use quality. For the average user, I suggest Vista with the 7 upgrade when it becomes available to them. XP is a bad choice right now due to the fact that when an upgrade is required, it will have to be a new installation rahter than an “upgrade.” Only Vista is going to be upgradeable to 7, and the upgrade is likely going to be free for Vista users.
