The word DTM stands for Digital terrain mapping. Digital terrain mapping is simply nothing but the 3d view of the ground terrain landscape. This is used particularly for creating map such as relief map, climatic changes, aerial photograph etc. There are various applications of digital terrain mapping (DTM).

These maps are created by using satellites or by using the remote sensation system. They are represented in the form of the consecutive triangles or squares. The first thing that you need to do before creating the digital terrain mapping is to take the survey of the area which is done by using the remote sensation system which will expose the landscape features excluding the forest covers and the cities which is done by either manually edit them or through some software.

The objective of the digital terrain mapping is to create the topographical maps. From these maps one must be able to know about the flood zones, agricultural area.

This has several applications in many fields as this will be of great help to the researcher to know about the resources and other things that are present in the area. They are used by most of the industries like the construction works for developing the elevation model. This will give them a proper three dimensional outlook of ground surface which will help them to plan better.

Insurance companies now days are using this method in order to estimate the level of the risk that is associated with the area regarding the flood which plays a crucial role as this in turn will help them to calculate the premium level of the customers.

Civil engineers find this product as one of the greatest invention as they will make their job very much easier when they are making a plan to construct any building as they will know more about the area as well as the elevation plane about the area in which they are going to construct the building.

This is considered as an asset especially when one likes to know more information about the things that are present under the ground. Some of the things which you will be able to determine with the help of the technology are to measure the gravity in a given area, geomorphology, physical resources that are present in an area etc…

Well when i import the picture and it goes to my Collections it’s in good quality, but then when i drag it to the timeline it gets blury…. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and what i can do to fix this problem?… Thanks, a lot… – Jonathan L.

Ok! This might be the problem..The quality of the size of the images must be or very bad or either very small. Try This, Google An image, the size must be Very Big!! and you can see the images completly. Now try putting it in Movie Maker if the Image Looks Fine!! Its an Quality/Size problem..If Thats not the case, you should Try Re- Downloading!! Cause, Trust me those problems Never Happen… When you view, The Pictures in the timeline Usually The Screen is either to big and it allows you to see..the pixells. Make Sure the image its “JPEG or something that is very common that could also be the problem! Hope this helps
