Registry Cleaner Optimizer or some refer to defrag program, it will sort your registry entries for “faster loading”, but doesn’t scan or clean any registry entries. I tried some of them and doesn’t feel any difference after optimization or defragmentation. My conclusion is: Registry defragmentation is just a fancy tool, doesn’t work at all…
There is no such thing as Registry repair programs, a registry cleaner will detect and find unwanted registry entries, but it won’t repair your computer or registry in any way. One of the reason registry cleaner programs are called registry repair programs is because they backup your registry and allows you to restore your settings easily, it doesn’t have the capability to repair…
If your registry is corrupted, Registry cleaner programs will help you restore it. However, it won’t repair windows registry without the backup. The registry system in Windows XP and Vista are very stable, and the only problem still remains is the uninstalled application’s settings in the registry, that accumulate and finally take up the resources and bring the computer system into a halt.
For me, the best registry cleaner will detect the most errors, effectively remove the errors and able automatic schedule scan, cleaning and backup operation without human intervention, while proven to be save for at least 12 months continuous usage. Moreover, I found 2 registry cleaner programs that qualified such claim, because I use them for over 24 months without any problems!
Leave registry repair programs or registry cleaner optimizer alone, what you really need is just a normal but effective registry cleaner with scanning, cleaning and backup functions. Tuning tools is favorable but not necessary, keep things simple and just get the one that do the job best!
If what you referring as registry cleaner optimizer is something to do with optimizing system settings and tune for performance, then this is something desirable, and in fact, many registry cleaner programs have such build in tools, and they did improve the performance.
