i used to use limewire i haven’t used it in a while and my teacher asked me where my music on my zen 5 is from because she confuscated it. i told her limewire and she said that it was illegal. I don’t want to be doing something wrong and ilegal.So i want to know if it is illegal or not. If it is should i delete all the music i got from it off my computer? HELP!

Limewire itself is not illegal to use. But it IS illegal to use it for the purpose of downloading copyrighted media. Limewire is meant for local bands/garage bands to get their music heard and spread to other people. But people have been uploading Copyrighted media into it, and so people have used Limewire to download that media. It’s like a car. It’s meant to transport things, which is fine. But if you use it to run people over, then it isn’t fine.
