As a child, I had decided that when I grew up that I wanted to be a writer, and that is what I am today. I love that each and every day that I get to express my creativity and share it with others. It has been one of the best choices that I have made in my life.

But over the last few months, I have been having difficulty typing at the computer all day. I could blame it on my age, but after talking to my doctor, it seems that I am getting carpal tunnel and I will be progressively losing the use of my hands until I can get into surgery. The result of this is that I am getting less work done and getting paid less, and I was at the point where my lifestyle was at risk.

I brought these concerns up to my doctor on my last visit and I asked for advice. He suggested that I try out dictation software for my computer and see if that would solve my problem. Dication software lets you tell the computer what you would like to write, and it types it for you in your word processing software just like if you were to type it yourself. I decided that it wouldn’t hurt to give it a try and see if it would solve my problem.

When I did get home, I checked out a Dragon Naturally Speaking 10 review page that the doctor mentioned, and after reading them, I knew that it could definitely be a possibility for me and my problems. I bought one online and then had to wait for it to be shipped to my house.

Now, just a few weeks into my use of the software, I must say that I am almost back to my old level of productivity. I have been able to get more than ninety percent of the work I used to get done in a day and my employers are happy with my progress. I will be going in for carpal tunnel surgery in a couple of weeks and I will have to depend solely on this software to keep me working while I recover. It has been one of the best pieces of software that I have ever used and I can’t imagine working without it.
